[ONE RESERVE PENDING PAYMENT] Original vintage London Underground poster promoting the reopening of Euston and Clapham Common stations following extensive modernisation and reconstruction work - From Euston to Clapham Common the Transformation is Complete - featuring a fantastic design by the British artist Richard T. Cooper (1884-1957) showing passengers on the station platform at Euston with a railway worker in smart uniform welcoming a family in fashionable modern clothing and workers to the new underground train on the left and a ghostly image of people in stylish Edwardian dress waiting for the arrival of an earlier tube train model outlined in white, with advertising posters for food and drink and other products from the period on the walls below the roundel signs on both sides, and more passengers and soldiers in uniform boarding the new train by the stairs with the sign reading "Way Out To Street Euston Main Line Hampstead Line" in the background, the title text above and below with additional information reading "The City And South London Railway re-opened 1924 at an extra cost of £3,000,000." on the left and "The City And South London Railway opened 1890 Its total cost was £3,000,0000." on the right side of the border. What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?

Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
