Original vintage advertising poster for an art exhibition entitled Italian Art and Britain held at the Royal Academy of Arts from January 2 to March 6, 1960. Great design by Theodore Ramos (1928-2018) featuring a black and white portrait of the nobleman Giovanni de Pierfrancesco de Medici (1467-1498) holding a small round icon by the Early Renaissance painter Sandro Botticelli (1445-1510) entitled Portrait of a Young Man Holding a Medallion painted in 1480-1484, set within a red border with the text above and below in stylised white letters. Printed in Great Britain by Harrison & Sons., Ltd., London, Hayes and High Wycombe. Very good condition, faint creases in margins.

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?

Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
