Original vintage poster for an Austrian margarine brand Thea Von der Pflanze zum Nahrfett / From the Plant to Nutritional Fat featuring a diagram similar to the one in the Der Mensch Als Industriepalast / Man As Industrial Palace poster by the German physician, scientist and illustrator Fritz Kahn (1888-1968), showing the mechanics of margarine production through a machine cow on one side with the tagline Auf Geradem Wege Durch die Maschine / Directly from the Machine and the traditional method of butter production from a real cow on the other side with the tagline Auf dem Umwege Durch das Tier / On the Path Through the Animal with both cows eating grass by a tree below a shining sun in the centre above and the production process below with the Thea logo and numbers referencing the text in a booklet. What is a lithograph?

Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.

With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography. 

Where do you deliver to?

We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
