Original vintage Soviet space race propaganda poster - We Are Ahead On The Space March! - featuring a dynamic image of two cosmonauts with CCCP / USSR on their helmets standing on a Voskhod 2 rocket with a planet on a starry sky background, the slogan in stylised red text. In March 1965 the cosmonaut Alexei Leonov (1934-2019) was the first person to perform a spacewalk as part of the Восход-2 / Sunrise 2 space mission crewed by the Soviet fighter pilot and cosmonaut Pavel Belyayev (1925-1970) and Alexei Leonov (who also became the first person to create an artwork in space, sketching an orbital sunrise). Good condition, creasing, tears, minor staining.

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
