Original vintage movie poster for the cult Czechoslovak science fiction film loosely based on the novel The Magellanic Cloud by Stanislaw Lem "Ikarie XB-1" edited and dubbed into English for the American release as Voyage to the End of the Universe directed by Jindrich Polak and starring Dennis Stephens and Francis Smolen (Zdenek Stepanek and Frantisek Smolik). Dynamic sci-fi design featuring two astronauts floating in space towards spaceships with the text: "Dare you take the first... Voyage to the End of the Universe" and smaller images below of more scenes and text to tease the viewer: "SEE life aboard the mighty rocket-city as it hurtles through space!" / "SEE the horrible secret of the rocket ship lost 9 millions years!" / "SEE the mysterious attack from the black star!" / "SEE the unbelievable secret of the end of the universe!" with the stylised title in yellow letters and credit text below in white letters against a blue background. Are your posters originals?
All our antique and vintage posters, books, maps and prints listed on our website are guaranteed originals as detailed in their photographs and descriptions, and include a certificate of authenticity.
What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
