Original vintage Soviet film poster for an epic historical drama film - Taming of the Fire / Укрощение огня - based on a true story about Sergei P. Korolev (1907-1966) and the Russian space programme and missile industry he founded, from the 1920s to the first man in space (Yuri Gagarin) in 1961. Fantastic image of a man in the centre with a lady standing with her back turned on the left side and a rocket being launched on the right with the text in stylised black and white letters. Horizontal. Fair condition, tears, paper loss on margins, creases and folds.

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
