Original vintage Soviet space propaganda poster - Navigation In Open Space! / Навигация В Космосе Открыа! - featuring a spacecraft in orbit around planet earth with the hands of a man holding a red USSR flag with a hammer and sickle emblem on it and flags of the Soviet countries along the pole in the centre, the moon on the other side of the starry blue background with the title in bold red text below, and information in black on Yuri Gagarin (Yuri Alekseyevich Gagarin; 1934-1968), the Soviet pilot and cosmonaut who was the first man in space on 12 April 1961, and the second person in space, Gherman Titov (1935-2000), on 6 August 1961. Very good condition, repaired tears, browning, backed on linen.

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
