Original vintage Soviet movie poster for a documentary film - Man Enters Space - about the successful launch of Voskhod-2 into space and the first spacewalk on 18 March 1965 by the cosmonaut Alexey Leonov (b. 1934) with Pavel Belyayev (1925-1970) as Mission Commander 1, who both awarded Hero of the Soviet Union in 1965 and Pilot Cosmonaut of the USSR in 1966. Great image depicting a man in a space suit with CCCP / USSR on his helmet in shades of white and blue flying through space with his arms outstretched next to a spacecraft with a red star on the side, an outline of a planet in the background and the text below. Printed in Moscow. Horizontal. Good condition, restored tears and paper loss on left margin, backed on linen.

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
