Original vintage movie poster for the French release of a 1979 Soviet science-fiction art film Stalker directed by Andrei Tarkovsky and starring Alexander Kaidanovsky, Anatoli Solonitsyn, Nikolai Grinko and Alisa Freindlich. Colourful poster featuring an enigmatic design by the Belgian artist Jean Michel Folon (1934-2005) that reflects the philosophical and psychological nature of this sci-fi film, showing three small people with long shadows walking across sand dunes towards a giant open door with a cat visible behind the door frame, the title above in stylised orange letters and the rest of the text below. Printed in France by S. E. Lalande-Courbet, Wissous. Large size. Very good condition, folded as issued.

Are your posters originals?

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?

Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
