Original vintage sport advertising poster for the XIII Olympic Winter Games Lake Placid 1980 held in New York USA from 13-24 February featuring a dynamic illustration of two skiers in red blue and white ski suits with one skiing at speed on a slalom run past a bamboo pole towards the viewer and the other jumping from the side against the blue and snow white background. This Winter Olympics event was won by the Soviet Union in first place with ten gold medals, East Germany in second place and the United States in third place. The village of Lake Placid is located in Upstate New York in the Adirondack Mountains and hosted the 1932 and 1980 Olympics. Good condition, tears, creasing, minor staining.

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.

Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
