Original vintage Soviet propaganda poster - To Wake Up All Human Powers, The October Storm Is Needed! - featuring a striking design showing two Navy sailors in uniform and holding bayonet rifle guns over their shoulders with their caps marked Aurora (the ship Aurora / Аврoра signalled the start of the Great October Revolution on 25 October 1917 using the "old" calendar, which is 7 November using the "new" calendar) firing a cannon gun towards the historic city of Petrograd / St Petersburg over one of the rostral columns (completed 1811) on Vasilyevsky Island with a light shining over the Peter and Paul Fortress (founded in 1703 by Peter the Great) in the distance against the red background, the white text over the smoke above. Horizontal. Good condition, creasing, folds, small tears.

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
