Original vintage World War Two pan-American calendar propaganda poster - Las Americas Unidas Para La Victoria Y El Progreso Humano / The Americas United for Victory and Human Progress - featuring a colourful image of a soldier from the United States of America and a Latin American soldier shaking hands, both smiling and wearing uniform with guns over their shoulders, in front of a globe in the centre with the title text on a scroll above military propeller planes, artillery guns and a tank emerging from the cloud on the blue sky background, a family with the baby on the mother's lap and young child on the grass below, and industrial factories, warships and military cargo trucks in front of an historic church building, trees, fields and hills in the distance behind them, the artwork framed by twelve monthly calendar panels from January to December (Enero - Diciembre), with each month displaying illustrations of Christian saints and their respective feast days. Horizontal. Good condition, folds, minor creasing, repaired tears, backed on linen.

What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.

Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
