Original antique London Transport poster announcement: Hendon-Edgware Extension Now Open on the Northern Line of London Underground featuring colourful artwork by Charles Shepard (Shep; 1844-1924) depicting a map of the route of the extension line in relation to the surrounding area, including tube stops from Charing Cross and Moorgate to Golders Green on the border below up to Hendon Colindale Burnt Oak and Edgware with the numbered bus routes and terminals shown as well as images of a windmill and compass point, golf courses, towns and postcodes, roads and rivers within a decorated frame, the bold title with the information text below - There are motorbus routes connecting with the new railway which serve the lanes and woods of Hertfordshire. Are your posters originals?

What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.

Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
