Original vintage London Transport poster for Kew Gardens featuring an illustration of a smiling child smelling a red flower and holding a daisy chain in her hands on a green background with a fun part limerick poem below - A gardener (it might have been yueue) Kindly gave up his places in the queue To explain to a stranger The obvious danger / Of thinking that Kwewe should only be visited in lilac time. The gardens are always superb and admission is only 3d. Kwewe Gardens Station is 5 minutes walk. Many buses stop near the gates. - with a red London Underground roundel logo. Artwork by Edwin Tatum (1927-1991). Very good condition, minor creasing, small tears.

What is a lithograph?

Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.

With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?

We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
