Original vintage advertising poster promoting the various Portuguese industries at the International Exhibition held from 25 May to 25 November 1937 in Paris France - Portugal 1937 Exposition de Paris Industrie - featuring a description in French on the front of the poster with a colourful pictorial map of Portugal on the Iberian Peninsula in Europe depicting its products and industries including agriculture and farming, food and drink, forestry and mining, cultural activities, fishing and shipping ports, textiles and clothing in the different regions of the country with a compass point on the Atlantic Ocean and the repeated word Portugal framing the design, additional illustrations and information on Portuguese industries featured on the reverse of the poster. Artwork by Jose Luiz Cunha De Barros (1878-1972). Good condition, folded as issued, minor tear, double-sided.

Are your posters originals?

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
