Original vintage art exhibition poster for American Collections Masterpieces From David To Toulouse-Lautrec at the Musee de l'Orangerie from 21 April to 3 July 1955. Great design featuring the 1881 painting Luncheon of the Boating Party by the notable French impressionist artist Pierre-Augustin Renoir (aka Auguste Renoir; 1841-1919) depicting people relaxing and enjoying food and drink on a covered balcony with boats visible in the background, the exhibition title and information in the borders above and below with a tax stamp in the corner. Good condition, tear on the left margin, scratches on the image.

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
