Original vintage art exhibition poster for the Recent Drawings by Steinberg held at Galerie Maeght Paris in April and May 1953 - Dessins recents de Steinberg - featuring an architecture style illustration of a building resembling a train station with railway tracks in the foreground and a cyclist as a gentleman in a uniform saluting between two bicycle wheels above. The American artist Saul Steinberg (1914-1999) is best known for his work for The New Yorker most notably his View of the World from 9th Avenue (1976). Printed by Mourlot, Paris. Very good condition, minor creasing, small tears.

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.

Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
