Championnats Du Monde Heysel Floreffe

Original vintage sport poster for the 1935 UCI LVB Road and Track World Championships / Championnats du Monde held in conjunction with the Brussels International Exposition / Exposition Universelle Bruxelles featuring a dynamic Art Deco design depicting two cyclists racing at speed hunched over the handlebars of their bikes, the colourful national flags representing the participating countries including Switzerland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, the United Kingdom, France, the United States, Italy, Germany and Sweden flying on the side with the bold text above and diagonally below. The Exposition Universelle Bruxelles World's Fair was held from 27 April to 6 November 1935. The cycling events were organised by the UCI (Union Cycliste Internationale / International Cycling Union) and LVB (Ligue Velocipedique Belge / Belgian Cycling League); the track events were held at the Heysel Stadium on 10, 11, 13 and 15 August 1935, and the road race was held in Floreffe on 18 August.
