Original vintage movie poster for the German re-release of the classic French comedy film Jour de Fete / Tati's Schutzenfest / The Big Day directed by Jacques Tati (his feature film directional debut) and starring Jacques Tati himself in the main character role, with the residents of Sainte-Severe. Colourful artwork featuring a brass band walking past a carousel with the title text above, the postman riding by on his bicycle with a church spire visible in the background, a girl and a dog in the foreground, French flags above and the rest of the text below in stylised blue letters. Printed in France. Good condition, folds, small tears on margins.

Are your posters originals?
All our antique and vintage posters, books, maps and prints listed on our website are guaranteed originals as detailed in their photographs and descriptions, and include a certificate of authenticity.
What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
