Pioneer Always Ready Geese Farm USSR
Original vintage Soviet propaganda poster - We will fulfill a Pioneer two-year plan! The Pioneer is always ready to work for the benefit of people: We will raise one hundred million heads of excellent birds! Colourful design featuring a smiling girl wearing a red pioneer scarf over her white dress and a yellow head scarf, carrying two buckets past a pen of white geese with four young yellow goslings following her and the text above in white letters against the blue sky background. The Young Pioneers (Vladimir Lenin All-Union Pioneer Organisation; 1922-1991) was a Soviet youth organisation, similar to the Boy Scouts and Girl Guides groups, for children aged 9-15 years old; the uniform included a distinctive red neckerchief on a white shirt and their motto was to be prepared: Always Prepared (Всегда готов!). Although formally banned in 1922, child labour was widespread in the Soviet Union, mostly in the form of mandatory, unpaid work by school aged children on Saturdays and holidays. Horizontal. Good condition, folds, creasing, staining, small tears on margin.

FAQs
More information about our posters and service.
Are your posters originals?
All our antique and vintage posters, books, maps and prints listed on our website are guaranteed originals as detailed in their photographs and descriptions, and include a certificate of authenticity.
What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
