24 Heures Du Mans 1966 Ford GT40 Dunlop
Original vintage motorsport poster for the 24 Heures du Mans / 24 Hours of Le Mans on 18-19 June 1966 featuring the text in bold white lettering below an image of sports car racing at speed towards the viewer over the crest of a hill past the Dunlop and Martini sponsorship advertising and spectators on both sides of the track led by an orange race car numbered 20. This Grand Prix endurance race was won by Ford in the top three places: the New Zealand racing drivers Bruce McLaren (1937-1970) and Chris Amon (1943-2016) in first place and the British driver Ken Miles (1918-1966) and New Zealand driver Denny Hulme (1936-1992) in second place both for the Shelby American team and the American drivers Ronnie Bucknum (1936-1992) and Dick Hutcherson (1931-2005) all for the Holman & Moody team, all in Ford GT40 MKII cars; this dramatic race event has been featured in the 2009 book Go Like Hell and the 2016 documentary film The 24 Hour War and the 2019 film Ford v Ferrari / Le Mans '66 all based on the rivalry between Enzo Ferrari and Henry Ford II and their racing teams. Excellent condition.

FAQs
More information about our posters and service.
Are your posters originals?
All our antique and vintage posters, books, maps and prints listed on our website are guaranteed originals as detailed in their photographs and descriptions, and include a certificate of authenticity.
What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
