Original antique advertising poster for a flavoured quinine alcohol drink - Maurin Quina Le Puy - featuring an iconic design by the renowned poster artist Leonetto Cappiello (1875-1942) of a green devil sneakily opening a bottle of the French quina aperitif against the dark background, the bold yellow lettering below with the artist's name and a small paint palette and brushes logo. The depiction of the green devil may allude to La Fee Verte / The Green Fairy that was a popular nickname for absinthe at the time. Printed by P. Vercasson & Cie, 43 Rue de Lancry, Paris. Large size. Are your posters originals?

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
