Original vintage alcohol drink advertising poster for the fortified wine based aperitif Dubonnet (since 1846) featuring an iconic illustration by the notable poster artist A.M. Cassandre (Adolphe Mouron Cassandre; 1901-1968) depicting a stylised image of a man wearing a hat, green waistcoat and striped shirt, sitting at a small table and holding a napkin in one hand and using a soda siphon to make himself a Dubonnet cocktail with an ice bucket and Dubonnet bottle on the table, the text around the margin corners and below the image reading Dubo nnet / Dubon net / Dubonnet ...a l'eau avec un peu de cassis ou un zeste de citron / in water with a little blackcurrant or lemon zest. Horizontal. Good condition, restored paper losses on margin, restored creases, restored tears, staining, backed on linen.

Are your posters originals?

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
