Original vintage air travel poster for the French airline UAT Union Aeromaritime de Transport (1949-1963) promoting routes to Africa and Asia featuring a great design by the painter and illustrator Toni Mella (1907-1984) depicting two antelopes / gazelles in a savanna landscape, one looking at the viewer and the other lying by a tree, with a De Havilland Comet jet plane flying above leaving stylised geometric trail lines over the UAT letters, the rest of the text below - UAT Aeromaritime AOF AEF Extreme Orient / French West Africa (Afrique Occidentale Francaise) French Equatorial Africa (Afrique Equatoriale Francaise) Far East - with the company's blue and yellow pennant and stars logo. What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?

Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
