Original vintage Africa travel poster - Visit the Congo Kivu Uele Ituri Ruanda Urundi (Rwanda Burundi) - featuring a colourful pictorial map marking places of interest including Stanleyville (Kisangani), Parc Albert Rwindi (Virunga National Park), Costermansville (Bukavu), Gangala Na Bodio Garamba (Garamba National Park Reserve), Kagera, Usumbura (Bujumbura), Mangbetu, Grottes Hoyo (Matupi Cave), Watusi, Lac Edouard and Lac Tanganika with the Equator line running through the centre and illustrations of various animals including elephants, rhinos, deer, okapi, lions, monkeys, hippos, crocodiles, zebras, giraffes and flamingoes as well as trees, volcanoes, lakes, mountains, a waterfall and people with the compass and route map below the stylised title lettering on a red and white banner above, decorative palm trees, shields and tribal masks with the publisher information along the bottom. Published by the Tourist Office for the Belgian Congo and Ruanda-Urundi Brussels. Good condition, restored paper losses on right edge, restored tears, staining, backed on linen.

Are your posters originals?

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
