Original vintage Soviet sports propaganda poster: Youth to the start lines! Great design featuring various sports in black and white images - football players, synchronised gymnastics and ice hockey players (the Soviet Union against Canada) - in the sail of a stylised white sailing boat against a blue background with a colourful illustration of a young athlete balancing on the boat and holding a long banner made up of flags of various sports clubs and associations, the title inside a medal style circle in the top right corner. Good condition, folded as issued, faint staining, creases and small tears in margins.

Are your posters originals?

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
