Original vintage motorsport poster for the championship race for motorcycles and championship finals for cars - Sachsenring 1952 Hohenstein-Ernstthal 7 Sept. 25 Jahre Meisterschaftslauf fur motorrader und meisterschaftsendlauf fur wagen - featuring a dynamic image of a driver in a red helmet and goggles driving a number 25 racing car at speed past a crowd of spectators in the stands below waving flags inside an outline of the race track circuit marking the 25th anniversary. Located in Hohenstein-Ernstthal Saxony, the Sachsenring motorsport racing circuit has held motorcycle and car racing events since 1927; the 1952 Sportscar Championship was won by the German racing driver Kurt Straubel (1920-1983) for IFA-DAMW BMW with the German Formula One drivers Oswald Karch (1917-2009) in second place and Hans Blees (1920-1994) in third place, both for Veritas RS BMW. Good condition, tears, pinholes, small paper losses.

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
