Original vintage water sport poster for the Grand Meeting International Motonautique held on 12 and 13 June 1948 at the Bassin Du Trocadero featuring a dynamic illustration by Geo Ham (Georges Hamel; 1900-1972) of speed boats racing around a chequered buoy with a race flag blowing in the wind. Founded in 1922 in Belgium as the Union Internationale du Yachting Automobile, the Union Internationale Motonautique (UIM; since 1927) is the international governing body of power boating based in the Principality of Monaco. Large size. Good condition, creases, folds, stains, backed on linen.

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?

Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
