Original vintage Soviet film poster Voyage / путешествие based on stories by Vasily Aksyonov featuring a photomontage with a black and white photograph image of a writer holding a pen to his mouth with an air hostess looking down from inside a heart shape formed by two planes crossing over between them with the text in black letters and two stylised clouds on the side against a pink background. The side text references short stories - Папа, сложи! (Dad, put down!), Завтраки сорок третьего года (Breakfast 1943) and На полпути к Луне (Halfway to the Moon) - by the Kazan-born Soviet Russian novelist Vasili Aksyonov (1932-2009), who graduated as a doctor and started publishing short stories in 1956; he emigrated to America in 1980 where he continuing writing before moving back to Moscow in the 1990s. Good condition, folded as issued, scratch marks.

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
