Original vintage movie poster for the Russian release of a Georgian tragi-comedy film Мачеха Саманишвили / Stepmother Samanishvili directed by Eldar Shengelaya featuring a man in the foreground and a couple dancing in the background, the credits above against the green background and stylised title text below. Set in the early 20th century in pre-revolutionary Georgia, the film is about Bekina, a recently widowed impoverished noble man played by Vasil Kakhniashvili who wants to marry again, so his son Platon (Imedo Kakhiani) goes on a journey to find him a new wife. Good condition, browning on edges, tears, restored tears, minor paper loss.

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?

Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
