Original vintage Soviet film poster about the State Hermitage / Государственныи Эрмитаж featuring the five metre high Atlas statues at the historical portico entrance of the New Hermitage building in St Petersburg Russia. Founded in 1764 by the Empress of Russia Catherine the Great (Catherine II; 1729-1796), the State Hermitage Museum of art and culture is located between the Neva River embankment and Palace Square and is the second largest art museum in the world. Good condition, minor foxing at bottom.

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
