Peter the Great
Original vintage cinema poster for a Soviet film, Peter the Great (Петр Первый), published in 1952 in two parts. This historical film was originally released in 1937-1938, based on Peter the Great (Peter I / Peter the First / Peter Alekseyevich Romanov; 1672-1725), the Russian Tsar from 1682-1721 and Emperor of All Russia from 1721-1725. Image featuring Peter the Great smartly dressed in a tunic, wearing a hat and long boots, with a sword on his side and holding a telescope in one hand, towering above images below of fighting men on horses and ships in full sail.

FAQs
More information about our posters and service.
Are your posters originals?
All our antique and vintage posters, books, maps and prints listed on our website are guaranteed originals as detailed in their photographs and descriptions, and include a certificate of authenticity.
What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
