Irony of Fate
Original vintage Soviet film poster for a 1976 classic Soviet romantic comedy that remains one of the most popular shows in Russia - The Irony of Fate, or Enjoy Your Bath! / Ирония судьбы, или С лёгким паром! (Ironiya sudby, ili S lyogkim parom!) - directed by Eldar Ryazanov (loosely based on the his 1971 play Once on New Year's Eve / Однажды в новогоднюю ночь) and written by Emil Braginsky and Ryazanov. Great image of a young lady and a young man sitting back to back, the lady holding a red flower in her hand and the man holding a bag with modern buildings in Moscow and Leningrad (now St Petersburg) shown above them inside a cloud with a large key hanging on each side, the stylised text around the cloud in black letters and below in blue letters. Very good condition, folds, creases and minor tears on margins.

Are your posters originals?

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
