Original vintage Soviet poster for an animated film Banya / The Bath House directed by Anatoli Karanovich and Sergei Yutkevich based on a play by the notable writer and poet Vladimir Mayakovsky (1893-1930) and starring Arkadi Rajkin and Yekaterina Rajkina. Fun cartoon style artwork featuring toy puppet figures and objects including a pipe and glasses against a balloon, an artist and two men drinking a bottle of Moskovsky vodka against a white and yellow background with the title above in stylised black letters. Fair condition, large tear in bottom margin, small tears and creases in margins.

Are your posters originals?

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
