Original vintage thriller film poster for a Soviet detective science fiction film Отель У погибшего альпиниста / The Dead Mountaineer's Hotel directed by Grigori Kromanov with the script by and based on a 1970 novel by Arkady and Boris Strugatsky about a detective at a hotel in a remote valley who gets stranded there due to a heavy snowfall when a dead body is discovered, featuring a constructivist style illustration of the main characters - Inspector Glebsky in a suite and holding a gun in his hand, Mr and Mrs Moses standing together above and Olga on the side with an image of trees on a snow covered mountain - the bold title text in stylised lettering above and credits below. Produced by Tallinnfilm Studio Estonia. Good condition, paper losses, creasing, staining on bottom margin, tears, repaired tears.

Are your posters originals?

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
