Built in 1938 the G-AFDI Frobisher was the first production DH91 Albatross aircraft that could carry 22 passengers and mail cargo; the plane was destroyed in 1940 during WWII in a German air raid. Sir Martin Frobisher (c.1535-1594) was an English explorer and privateer who sailed to the New World three times and was a squadron commander of a fleet during the Spanish Armada in 1588. What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
