Original vintage Air France poster standee published to promote its cargo services: Air France - Ship Your Parcels By Plane / Expediez vos colis par avion. Stunning artwork featuring an Air France Douglas DC-3 propeller plane flying across a lightly cloudy blue sky below the airline's Art Deco Pegasus logo speeding overhead with the logo split in two pulling a cart full of freight boxes and mail bags, the text below in red and white letters. The seahorse Pegasus logo, also known as the Hippocampus or Hippocampe Aile, was the historical insignia used by Air Orient (1929-1933) then Air France following its merger with Air Orient in 1933. Printed in France by Editions Cepi, Paris. Good condition, stains and browning in margins, backed on card.

Are your posters originals?

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
