French At Work - featuring a great design depicting a spade and pickaxe with the stylised bold text in black above and below the tools tied together with a flowing red, white and blue ribbon representing the colours of the flag of France against a pale yellow background. Liberation Committee Colmar Rue Henner 26. Located in the north east Alsace region of France, the city of Colmar was annexed by Nazi Germany in 1940 and liberated in February 1945 following the Colmar Pocket battle between France and the USA against Germany. Printed by Alfred Jess Colmar. Good condition, creasing, small tears, printing errors.

Are your posters originals?

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
