Original vintage propaganda poster - Venez U.D.S.R. - Come to UDSR - featuring a dynamic design by Bernard Lancy (1892-1964) of a crowd of workers holding farm and industrial tools marching behind a man leading the group and reaching out his hand towards the viewer to show unity with a construction crane and buildings in the background. Founded in 1945 after the liberation of France from German occupation, the Union démocratique et socialiste de la Résistance (UDSR) / Democratic and Socialist Union of the Resistance was a French political party set up by non-Communist members of the Liberation; it was active until 1964 (mainly during the Fourth Republic 1947-1958) when it merged into the Convention of Republican Institutions (CIR) led by the left wing politician Francois Mitterrand. Large size. Excellent condition, backed on linen.

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
