Original vintage USSR propaganda poster - Glory to the Motherland of October Revolution! 1917 1954 - featuring a great design depicting a Soviet wreath of wheat around a hammer and sickle on a world globe with a red star above in front of colourful fireworks exploding above the Moscow Kremlin on one side marked 1954 and the ship Aurora on the other marked 1917 (the ship Aurora / Аврoра signalled the start of the Great October Revolution on 25 October 1917 using the "old" calendar, which is 7 November using the "new" calendar). Horizontal. Good condition, folds, staining, tears, small paper loss in margins, paper damage from tape skimming.

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
