Original antique World War One poster - Follow the Pied Piper Join the United States School Garden Army USSG. Great artwork by the American illustrator Maginel Wright Enright (1881-1966) depicting Uncle Sam playing music as the Pied Piper leading children to help in the war effort by gardening and helping to tackle the food shortage during and after WWI, the boys and girls wearing work dungarees with USSG on a hat and bag, holding farm tools and scattering seeds on the ground with fields in the background, the title in stylised lettering above. Printed by The Graphic Company, Washington D.C. Good condition, staining on right edge, backed on linen.

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
