Original antique Soviet Red Army recruitment and Anti-Capitalist propaganda poster depicting illustrations of British French and American capitalists and international counter-revolutionaries getting peasants drunk with vodka and enslaving them, mistreating them and stealing from them, issued to recruit the population to fight in the Red Army during the Russian Civil War following the Russian Revolutions in 1917 during which various factions vied to determine Russia's political future; the two largest combatant groups being the Bolshevik Red Army fighting for Socialism under the leadership of Vladimir Lenin and the loosely allied forces of the White Army that included diverse interests favouring political monarchism, economic capitalism and alternative forms of socialism; the war ended with the Bolshevik Communist control of the newly formed Soviet Union USSR in 1923. Artwork by the notable Russian caricaturist, political cartoonist, illustrator and satirical propaganda poster designer Mikhail Mikhailovich Cheremnykh (1890-1962). Good condition, repaired tears, creasing, paper losses, staining, repairs reinforced with paper.

Are your posters originals?

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
