Original vintage propaganda poster for L'Armee De L'Air / the French Air Force featuring two Nord Noratlas Nord 2501 twin boom military planes flying over a sandy beach with a shadow of the plane casts onto the sea below and other planes on the ground next to hangars and a runway in the distance. L'Armee De L'Air was formed as part of the French Army in 1909 as the Service Aeronautique, becoming an independent military Air Force in 1934. Artwork by the French painter Paul Lengelle (1908-1993) known for his aviation and aeronautical artwork. Excellent condition, light stain on bottom, backed on linen.

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
