Karel Willem Frederik Marie Doorman (1889-1942) was a Dutch Rear Admiral killed in action during the Battle of the Java Sea defending the East Indies/Malay Barrier against an Imperial Japanese attack as part of the short-lived American British Dutch Australian Command (ABDACOM; 1942). Printed in England by James Haworth & Brother Ltd. Good condition, folds, small paper losses in bottom left corner.

What is a lithograph?

Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.

With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography. 

Where do you deliver to?

We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
