New York TWA David Klein Up Up And Away
Original vintage travel poster - New York Fly TWA - featuring an iconic design by the American artist David Klein (1918-2005) depicting a bright and colourful abstract view of Times Square with the billboards and electric lights, and the movement of traffic and city energy as blocks and frames of colour with dots and shining stars against the black and blue shaded background, a jet plane flying across the image over the skyscrapers and text in bold lettering above and the slogan up up and away TWA on the corner below. Trans World Airlines (TWA) was a major American airline from 1924-2001 when it was acquired by American Airlines. Good condition, restored tears, restored creasing, backed on linen.

FAQs
More information about our posters and service.
Are your posters originals?
All antique and vintage posters listed on our website are guaranteed originals as detailed in their photographs and descriptions, and include a certificate of authenticity.
What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
