Dynamic design by the artist known as Parrilla showing three soldiers in shades of red, yellow and blue from the Spanish Republican Army (1931-1939), the Popular Front (1936-1939) and the National Confederation of Labour (CNT; founded 1910) armed with guns and rifles striding forward to attack the fascists with flags waving behind them in red, yellow, black, blue and white with the communist hammer and sickle and CNT initials, and the Madrid Defence Council logo against the yellow background above and slogan below in bold red letters against a black background. Printed in Spain by Rivadeneyra C.O., Madrid. Good condition, repaired tears,minor staining, light folds, backed on linen.

What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
