Original vintage LNER poster advertising travel by train to Norwich The Cathedral Route On The London & North Eastern Railway of England and Scotland featuring stunning artwork by the notable British poster artist Frank Newbould (1887-1951) of the historic Norwich Cathedral built since 1096 in the Norman and Gothic architectural style with its 96m spire towering into the sky above the red roof city buildings, trees and a park with football goal posts in the foreground, the title text on the margin below. The ancient medieval city of Norwich is located in Norfolk in the East of England. Printed by Vincent Brooks, Day and Son Ltd London. Good condition, restored tears, restored folds, restored creasing, staining, paper skimming, ink stamp for Oakland Free Library, backed on linen.

Are your posters originals?

What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
