Original vintage advertising poster for the Olivetti Lettera 22 portable mechanical typewriter designed by Marcello Nizzoli in 1949 featuring a great mid-century graphic design depicting the typewriter in a stylised yellow outline case with red and blue flowers above, the text above - It costs so little to give so much - and below - Made in Britain by British Olivetti Ltd. The Italian company Olivetti (founded 1908) produced type-writers, calculators and computers; the company employed the best commercial artists and graphic designers to create posters for their marketing campaigns. Design by Giovanni Pintori (1912-1999) an Italian graphic designer known mostly for his advertising work with Olivetti. Good condition, repaired tears, staining, minor creasing, small paper losses in corners, ink stamp, framed.

Are your posters originals?

What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.

Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
