The 1979 Wimbledon championships tennis tournament was held from 25 June to 7 July; the defending champion Swedish player Bjorn Borg beat the American tennis player Roscoe Tanner in the final to become the Men's Singles winner. Founded in 1877 this annual event is the oldest tennis tournament in the world and is held on outdoor grass courts at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club AELTC in Wimbledon London. What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
