Original vintage summer sport travel poster for the resort town of Davos Für Sport und Spiel im Hochgebirge / For Sports and Games in the High Mountains featuring a scenic black and white Art Deco design by the notable German-Swiss artist Carl Moos (Karl Franz Moos; 1878-1959) depicting a lady holding a croquet mallet, a man holding a golf club and smoking a pipe and another man holding a tennis racquet / racket with a caddy holding their golf clubs and looking at the view between the trees over the town and historic spire of St Johann Church towards the Swiss Alps in the background, the sun shining from the side and the bold and stylised title text below. Are your posters originals?

What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?

Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
